4 Ingredient Bread

YIELD: 

8 SERVINGS 

PREP TIME: 3 HOURS 10  MINUTES

COOK TIME: 40 MINUTES 

TOTAL TIME: 20 MINUTES 


NGREDIENTS:

  • 3 Cups All purpose flour (Gluten free if needed)
  • 3 Cups warm water
  • 2 Teaspoons dry active yeast
  • 2 Teaspoons salt

Cast Iron Dutch Oven

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Combine all ingredients to a large bowl and stir well; making sure all flour is mixed in thoroughly. Your dough will double in size, so make sure you choose a large enough bowl.
  2. Cover your dough with aluminum foil (or plastic wrap) and let sit for 3 hours. Once complete, your dough will be sticky with small bubbles everywhere. 
  3. Spray your dutch oven with nonstick spray or a little melted butter. Trust me, this is a life saver. 
  4. Add dough to dutch oven and bake at 450 degrees for 30 minutes with the lid on.
  5. Bake an additional 10 minutes with no lid.

* Tip: My family goes through a lot of bread! If you're planning on freezing a loaf for later, make sure it cools completely. Otherwise it tends to thaw with a gummy texture.
