Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers

YIELD: 12 SERVINGS 

PREP TIME: 15 MINUTES 

COOK TIME: 20 MINUTES

 TOTAL TIME: 35 MINUTES


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 8oz block cream cheese, softened 
  • 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded 
  • 1lb bacon, uncooked 
  • 12 Jalapeño peppers, halved lengthwise, seeds and membranes removed. 
  • 1 teaspoon salt 
  • 1 teaspoon pepper 
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400° F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. 
  2. Slice your jalapeños in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds and membranes. *
  3. Mix your softened cream cheese and cheese in a mixing bowl. Add in your salt, pepper,  garlic seasoning and jalapeño seeds. 
  4. Fill each jalapeño half with your cheese mixture. 
  5. Slice your raw bacon in half and wrap each jalapeño tightly. 
  6. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes or until crispy. 

Note: I  like to use the seeds from 2-3 of my peppers for an extra kick. This is optional.
