Apple Pie Overnight Oats

YIELD: 1 SERVING

PREP TIME: 10 MINUTES 

COOK TIME: 8 HOURS 

TOTAL TIME: 8 HOURS 10 MINUTES


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 medium apple, chopped
  • 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  •  1 1/2 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  •  Sea salt, optional 
  •  1 ½ cups unsweetened almond milk, or milk of your choice
  • 2 teaspoons chia seeds
  •  1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  •  1 cup old fashioned oats, or gluten-free oats

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a glass jar or other airtight container, add the milk, chia seeds, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and maple syrup.
  2. Add the oats and mix to combine.
  3. Layer evenly with the apples then top each with maple syrup and cinnamon. 
  4. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  5. Oats may be eaten cold, at room temperature or warm.
